President Obama on Thursday officially nominated Jack Lew to be the next treasury secretary. “I don’t want to see him go, because it’s working out really well for me to have him in the White House,” Obama said. “My loss will be the nation’s gain.”
Obama also praised outgoing Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner. When the history books are written, Obama said, “Tim Geithner is going to go down as one of our finest secretaries of the treasury.”
