New York has been a tough town for President Barack Obama over the past few months.
First, elite New York golf courses reportedly rejected President Barack Obama’s request to tee off during Labor Day Weekend. Now, the President says a New York City restaurant rejected his credit card while he was in town for the United Nations General Assembly last month.
“It turned out I guess I don’t use it enough,” Obama recalled Friday after he signed an executive order to protect consumers from identity theft, according to a transcript of his remarks. “So they thought there was some fraud going on. Fortunately, Michelle had hers.”
“And I was trying to explain to the waitress, no, I really think that I’ve been paying my bills,” he joked. “Even I’m affected by this.”
