President Obama has been notified about the active shooting at the Fort Hood army base in Texas.
“The President has been informed of reports of a shooting at Fort
Hood. He’ll continue to receive updates on the situation throughout
the evening,” Deputy White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest told reporters, according to a pool report.
President Obama is at a fundraiser in Chicago.
Fort Hood confirmed that it has an active shooter on the base. No fatalities or injuries have been confirmed.
