Stephanie Cutter, deputy manager for the Obama campaign, attacked Mitt Romney’s comment that state and local governments don’t need to hire more public workers. Romney’s remark suggests “teachers, police officers and firefighters don’t help the American people” Cutter said on a conference call with reporters Monday afternoon. Cutter called Romney’s remarks a “stunning moment of candor.”
