Sen. Lindsey Graham pulled off a Christmas miracle and won the support of “Nightly Show” host Larry Wilmore on Wednesday night’s episode.
During Tuesday night’s debate, Graham, a retired Air Force colonel, defended Muslims serving in the American military and their religion.
“Wow, I have to tell you, that statement was powerful. It was decent. That’s the most decent I’ve heard at any of these debates,” Wilmore said. “Just out of curiosity, how’s decency polling these days? Zero percent.”
Wilmore was steadfast, though.
“Lindsey Graham, you won me over man,” Wilmore said. “It’s a Christmas miracle.”
But how the mighty can fall, Wilmore learned, as Graham then said he missed the administration of former President George W. Bush.
“Fuck me, man. I knew it was too good to last,” Wilmore said. “Trump 2016!”
