Newly-minted presidential candidate Donald Trump may have just shaken up NBC’s broadcasting schedule.

Now that the real-estate mogul has announced his 2016 bid, it remains to be seen whether he’ll wrap the whole thing up in time to get back to hosting the network’s hit show, “Celebrity Apprentice.”

“We will re-evaluate Trump’s role as host of ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ should it become necessary, as we are committed to this franchise,” Rebecca Marks, NBC’s executive vice president of publicity, told TPM in a statement.

Back in February, NBC confirmed that Trump’s reality show would be renewed, but did not announce the show’s return date.

CNN reported on Tuesday that NBC is in no hurry to shoot the 15th season of the show, since no new episodes are yet scheduled to air:

An NBC spokeswoman declined to say when production is supposed to start. But it’s very possible that Trump will no longer be a presidential candidate by then. That’s why the network is taking a wait-and-see approach.

NBC uses “The Apprentice” to plug holes in its prime time schedule. That’s why more than a year passed between the taping of the 14th season and its premiere in January of this year.
