Military Airlifting Power Equipment To Storm Ravaged Coast (PHOTOS)

As part of recovery efforts following Superstorm Sandy, the U.S. Defense Department is airlifting 630 tons of power generators and other equipment from California to the storm ravaged East Coast, the AP reported on Thursday.

Below are photos of 105th LRS Aerial Port air guardsmen off-loading a support vehicle belonging to the Southern California Edison utility company in New York. The vehicles will move out to support efforts to restore power and provide humanitarian assistance to the stricken region:
