Former reality star Donald Trump’s presidential campaign has announced the hiring of Michael Glassner, who is a former aide to GOP vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin.

Glassner will be the national political director and will develop a national political strategy and implementation, according to a release from the campaign. In 2008, he was the director of vice presidential operations for the McCain-Palin ticket.

“I am pleased to welcome Michael Glassner to our national campaign leadership team. In addition to our great success in all the recent national polls, we have built a great team, ultimately driven by my message to Make America Great Again and Mr. Glassner will certainly be an asset to us as we further cement our dominance in the 2016 GOP field,” Trump said in a statement.

Glassner was previously a top aide to former Sen. Bob Dole’s (R-KS) presidential campaigns and senior advisor to the 2000 Bush campaign in Iowa.

Trump’s interest in the former VP nominee was sparked after he said he would “love” to have Palin in his cabinet.

  1. Do I have to shop at a truck stop to get one of those “Make America Great Again” hats? Super classy.

  2. Wow, Trump has outdone himself! Hiring any Palin campaign aide is surely a mark of his total idiocy! Amazing.

  3. he said he would “love” to have Palin in his cabinet

Romney had women in binders, Trump dreams of Palin in his cabinet.

Liquor cabinet that is. That way she can burst out whenever he opens it, and spout gems like this, "“Ultimately, what the bailout does is help those who are concerned about the healthcare reform that is needed to help shore up our economy. Um, helping, oh — it’s got to be all about job creation too. Shoring up our economy, and putting it back on the right track. So healthcare reform and reducing taxes and reining in spending has got to accompany tax reductions, and tax relief for Americans, and trade, we’ve got to see trade as opportunity, not as a competitive, um, scary thing, but 1 in 5 jobs being created in the trade sector today. We’ve got to look at that as more opportunity. All of those things under the umbrella of job creation. This bailout is a part of that.”

  4. She sounds drunk.

  5. Well, with that track record of success, Hillary may as well concede right now.
