Along with his recent appearances on the stump, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) has been lending his support to Mitt Romney by privately courting old supporters in South Carolina. It is the latest effort by the Romney campaign to stem the momentum of the suddenly surging Rick Santorum and seal the nomination early.
