McCain Says He’ll Support LGBT Rights Bill

Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) told reporters Thursday that he would support the Senate’s pending bill to prohibit workplace discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity, TPM’s Sahil Kapur reports

The Senate is expected to vote Thursday afternoon on the bill, known as the Employment Non-Discrimination Act. Senate passage is expected with some Republican support, but the bill is not expected to pass the GOP-controlled House.
