Two suspects in the Boston Marathon bombing killed an MIT police officer, injured a transit officer in a firefight and threw explosive devices at police during their getaway attempt in a long night of violence that left one of them dead and another still at large Friday, authorities said as the manhunt intensified for a young man described as a dangerous terrorist. Superintendent and Colonel of the Massachusetts State Police Timothy P. Alben said at a press conference on Thursday that there has been no apprehension of the suspect in the Boston Marathon Bombings.

“We do not have any development to tell you in terms of that search up there,” Alben said.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the 19-year-old suspect in the bombings, remains at large. His older brother, 26-year-old Tamerlan Tsarnaev, was killed in a firefight with police early Friday.
