Asked how suspected bomber Dzokhar Tsarnaev escaped police pursuit despite engaging in a deadly firefight involving a hijacked car, Massachusetts state police superintendent Col. Timothy Alben said he left his car and disappeared.
“He abandoned a car that he had used, that was used in a pursuit,” he said. “In terms of how he got away, he did it on foot, he fled on foot.”
