Lines remained long in Ohio after the deadline for early voting ended at 2PM local time on Monday, per the Cleveland Plain Dealer:
Some voters appeared disappointed, but many said they would just go to their regular polling place on Tuesday.
The early voting here was a result of Ohio’s elections chief Jon Husted ordering county boards of elections across the state to open their doors for in-person early voting the weekend before the presidential election. That decision was made after the U.S. Supreme Court on Oct. 16 refused to take up his latest appeal to restrict early voting.
In-person early voting was available to all Ohio voters through the weekend andearly voters jammed county election boards across the state Sunday on the last weekend day before the election in a state where that presidential election may well be decided.
