Even After Trump Jr Diss, Lewandowski Won’t Say Bad Word About The Campaign

Even after Donald Trump Jr. effectively threw him under the bus, former Trump campaign manager and current CNN commentator Corey Lewandowski has refused to say a bad word about his former employers.

On Tuesday night, Trump Jr. told CBS that Lewandowski was out of line for saying that his replacement, Paul Manafort, should be dismissed if it turns out that he had a hand in the speech that Melania Trump gave at the GOP convention on Monday that lifted a large chunk from Michelle Obama’s 2008 Democratic convention speech.

Trump Jr. was unsparing in his criticism, saying there was “a reason” Lewandowski had been let go and that he “wants to try to maintain relevance” by appearing on TV.

“That’s not a service to the campaign,” Trump Jr. said. “I think its nonsense.”

Asked to respond to these remarks on CNN on Wednesday morning, Lewandowski steadfastly defended the Trump family.

“I want to be very clear,” Lewandowski said. “If the staff makes a mistake, and it’s unfortunate that mistake was made, whether it was a writer or whoever put this speech together, that person should be held accountable. I think Melania gave an amazing speech two nights ago.”

“She delivered it,” he continued. “She looked stunning. She’s so smart and articulate. The fact that unfortunately there was some type of small controversy around it is disappointing to me because that was her first opportunity to be introduced to the American public. I think they fell in love with her and she’s going to make an amazing first lady.”

Lewandowski is still receiving severance from the Trump campaign, in addition to his contributor contract with CNN.

It’s a presidential nominating convention, not an Armani runway showing at Bergdorf-Goodman, asswipe.

Evidently the Non-Disparagement Agreement Lewandowski signed was not mutual. So much for two-way streets, huh Corey?

Some people stun easily. You know who you are, Tweety.

No, they were laughing at her. It is fine to be ignorant of something but there is no excuse to flaunt it…such as plagiarism or not even knowing what the word means.

  5. There are rumors several major FoxNews personalities are very upset at the prospect of losing Ailes and have threatened a walk-out or resigning. I’m sure none of them would miss a paycheck, as CNN would gladly scoop all of them up. Priebus could conduct the screening interviews in the offices CNN sublets to the RNC on the 9th floor at their Atlanta headquarters.
