Kevin Curtis, the Mississippi man suspected of mailing letters containing ricin to lawmakers, on Tuesday was released from jail on bond, but the charges against him haven’t been formally dismissed, his lawyer said.

His lawyer, Christi McCoy, told CNN that the conditions of the bond are sealed. She said Curtis was released to his family.

Federal prosecutors and defense attorneys are scheduled to hold a news conference on the case at 6 p.m. ET, the Associated Press reported
