“The Nightly Show” hosted Good Cop Det. Eric Williams and Bad Cop Det. Nick Mancuso on Thursday night to talk about the increased monitoring under what’s being called “The YouTube Effect.”
“Cops are used to doing things a certain way,” said Williams, who was portrayed by contributor Mike Yard. “The system’s worked for us for a long time.”
And “The YouTube Effect” interferes with this mentality. “The YouTube Effect,” first reported by the Washington Post on Oct. 8, described a fear by police officers becoming the next viral videos for doing their jobs.
“Excuse my partner. He’s been a little on edge, what with the body cams and the paperwork and the gambling. It’s a threat to his over-the-line style and it puts our emotionally complex partnership at risk,” Williams said. “We are nothing without each other. Cops need a system of good and bad to in order get the job done. How are we going to bet a bad guy to confess if Mancuso don’t slam his face on the table?”

This bad cop should have waited for the good cop
What the fuck is going on with some of these cops? How does someone flashing their high beams escalate into shoot the kid 7 times? No I’ve never been a cop, but man, seems like just about the only reason to pull your gun is if someone else has a gun and is shooting first, either at you or others.
Why are they scared? Even with videos they still arent being indicted…
AutoPlay is bullshit, please stop doing it.
All the you tube videos, and body cameras mean nothing. Did we not learn anything from the Rodney King trial? As long as society views black people as scary, and less than human these things will continue.
White supremacy is bred into the fabric of this country, police are modern day overseers tasked with one job, protect white people from the scary dark people.
Too polite.
AutoPlay is bullshit. STOP IT. NOW.
