Larry Wilmore Struggles To Understand FDA-Approved ‘Lady Viagra’ (VIDEO)

The first legal medication for women’s sexual dysfunction has won approval by the Food and Drug Administration and Larry Wilmore is confused.

On Wednesday, the host of “The Nightly Show” struggled to understand this leveling of the sexual battlefield.

Unlike drugs such as Viagra that treat male sexual dysfunction by stimulating blood flow to the penis, flibanserin works on women’s brains by working on neurotransmitters to increase libido.

“So, it no stimulate here, it stimulate here?” he said, pointing from his groin to his head. “Me no relate.”

He eventually brought “Curb Your Enthusiasm’s” Susie Essman to help explain the significance of the new drug.

  1. Pretty great. Funny, and yet informative about the nexus of pharma and sexual politics. And Essman’s dig at Cosby was wicked.
