Larry Wilmore Reminds Tom Brady That He Is In Fact Tom Brady (VIDEO)

Desperate to get in a few last jokes about “deflated balls” before the Super Bowl, “The Nightly Show” host Larry Wilmore on Thursday turned his attention to the unfortunate case of Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.

“We’re getting ready for Super Bowl Sunday,” he began. “Now, I don’t wanna take sides here but it’s between the Seahawks and the Cheaters.”

Wilmore later turned to footage of Brady facing down reporters over the scandal surrounding the Patriots’ use of potentially deflated footballs in the American Football Conference championship.

“So, how did the man at the center of deflate-gate handle this?” Wilmore said, cutting to Brady saying he had “no explanation” for the discovery of under-inflated footballs.

“I do—you cheated,” Wilmore said, to applause.

Next, what Wilmore called a non-vigorous denial: “Is Tom Brady a cheater?” one reporter asked on the tape.

“I don’t believe so,” Brady answered.

“Wait,” Wilmore interjected to laughter from the audience, “you know you’re Tom Brady, right? You know they’re asking you that question right?”

“Because you answered ‘I don’t believe so,’ as if you’ve never met yourself,” he added.

  1. Hey Larry, you’re gonna be awful sad Sunday night.

  2. I thought keeping it 70’s meant having a lot of pubic hair?

But the fashion accessory that his super model wife picked out for him makes him look like Charlie Brown. No matter. His credibility was shot years ago.

  4. Not very funny. “Deflategate” is one of the most bogus sports “scandals” ever. I don’t get a lot of enjoyment out of false accusations, even if it’s only football.

  5. Really? This is worth spending time on?
