Larry Wilmore was more puzzled than surprised by the highly-publicized case of an HBO star who was arrested for murder over the weekend.
Robert Durst, the real-estate heir long associated with the alleged murder of several people including his wife, was the subject of a recent HBO documentary “The Jinx.”
The program produced several bombshells concerning his connections to the deaths, and the finale on Saturday coincided with Durst’s arrest for first degree murder.
Wilmore focused on a hot-mic moment in a bathroom, in which Durst can be heard saying, “What the hell did I do? Killed them all, of course.”
The host took a look at the media frenzy over the clip. “Could this have been an admission of guilt from Robert Durst?” one news anchor asked.
“Is ‘kill them all’ an admission of guilt? I think so,” Wilmore joked. “I mean what’s his excuse, ‘It’s Not Murder, It’s HBO’?”
