Larry Wilmore: Rachel Dolezal Is Like A Climate Change Denier (VIDEO)

Much like his colleague Jon Stewart on Monday, Larry Wilmore could not wrap his head around the case of the ex-president of the Spokane chapter of the NAACP, Rachel Dolezal, a white woman who was revealed to be posing as African-American last week.

“Much like climate change denial, this is not based on science,” Wilmore said.

“Sorry lady, you are white, you don’t get an opinion on this. This is not a Buzzfeed quiz — Which ‘Living Single’ character are you?” he added.

Walking through each piece of the scandal, Wilmore stopped to pause at one of the many answers Dolezal gave about whether she was black or not.

“We’re all from the African continent,” she was quoted as saying by the Seattle Times.

Wilmore’s audience roared.

“Yes, but some of us more recently than others!” the host said to applause.

“There must be something good that’s come out of this, I mean — shouldn’t even fake black lives matter?” he asked.

  1. Excellent, Mr. Wilmore!

  2. I don’t have white skin! I don’t, I tells ya!

  3. Why is it that when a person who was born biologically male announces themselves as female, then people making fun of that person are pariahs…

…but if this person who was born biologically “white” (a far less measurable quality) identifies themselves as black, it’s open season on her?

Sorry, I just don’t get the outrage here. She identifies as black, she has worked for black rights, I doubt she “fooled” many people in her NAACP chapter, they just decide on the whole as a person, she was right for the job they gave her.

  4. From what I’ve seen, she is a much more attractive black woman than a white woman.

  5. You beat me to it.

Why is she free to chose to be a man when she is actually a woman but not free to chose to be black when she is actually white.

Furthermore, a person’s race doesn’t truly indicate a functional difference, whereas a person’s gender denotes a true functional difference.
