Viewer Asks Larry Wilmore: Did You Make Jon Stewart ‘Move Out?’ (VIDEO)

Larry Wilmore decided to host a special edition of “The Nightly Show” on Wednesday, dedicating the whole show to reading tweets from viewers, “or as CNN, calls it, regularly scheduled programming.”

Along with his panel, Wilmore answered questions from Twitter on everything from vaccines to obesity. But the line of the night came from a personal question for the host.

“Is it odd that a few weeks after you move into the neighborhood, Jon Stewart decides he wants to move out?” a tweet asked, to big laughs from the panel and crowd.

“I would say yes, it is odd, I’ve said all along that Jon is a racist,” Wilmore joked.

Wilmore and his producer then recalled that before “The Nightly Show” staff moved into their current building, they shared a building with HBO’s John Oliver.

“And right when this show moved in they put up a big security door,” his producer said.

  1. I’ve been enjoying The Nightly Show, though I’ve had some tough questions I wish some of the panelists were asked. . .like last night, I wish someone had asked Ms Cupp “just how were you planning to implement ostracizing anti-vaxxers? Were you planning on forcing them to wear little patches on their shirts? Maybe tattooing symbols on their foreheads? In a free and democratic society, you can’t tell if someone hasn’t been vaccinated, and the idea that you are going to be able to avoid them is quite silly. The real issue to trying to balance the needs of the few with the needs of the many, to borrow a bit from Star Trek.”
