The Michigan congressman who said it would be a “dream come true” to impeach President Barack Obama is punching back at liberal comedian Bill Maher.
On Real Time with Bill Maher the satirist described Bentivolio as “a former professional Santa Claus impersonator” as well as a “current amateur congressman.”
Before serving in Congress Bentivolio worked as a Santa-for-hire and raised reindeer in Milford, Michigan. He is currently facing a primary challenge from attorney David Trott.
“I knew that I would be attacked by millionaire liberal elitists, but I was expecting it to come from David Trott not Bill Maher,” Bentivolio said in a statement on Thursday. “I guess it’s true what they say, birds of a feather flock together.”
