Journalist Helen Thomas Dead At 92

Longtime White House reporter Helen Thomas has died at 92, according to the Associated Press and CNN.

A friend of hers told AP that Thomas “died at her apartment in Washington on Saturday morning.” He said she had been “ill for a long time, had been in and out of the hospital, and had come home Thursday.”

She covered presidents over nearly 50 years, from President Kennedy to President Obama, and was known for her dogged questioning. She retired in 2010.
