Journalism Group Paid Jonah Lehrer $20,000 To Discuss Plagiarism In A Speech

Disgraced science writer Jonah Lehrer, who resigned from the New Yorker last year after a plagiarism row, spoke out about his transgressions at a Knight Foundation lunch Tuesday, earning $20,000 for the speech, Poynter reported:

Lehrer was paid handsomely for the appearance. “Like most outside speakers at Knight events, he was paid an honorarium. In this case, it was $20,000,” says Knight spokesperson Marika Lynch by email.
