After retiring from “The Daily Show,” Jon Stewart took a spin as host of the WWE’s Summer Slam, where he joked backstage with his son and interfered with a fight in the ring.
“You know, I’ve spent the past 16 years talking about politics,” Stewart said during his opening monologue. “It’s nice to be back in reality. Let me tell you the difference between politics and what you’re going to see tonight. The WWE performers you will see tonight, they respect their audience.”
During the event, Stewart also interfered in a fight between Seth Rollins and John Cena when he hit Cena with a metal folding chair.

Boggles the mind. Must be a hellava paycheck.
NOW he starts doing that? Not when he had John Yoo on the Daily Show? Sigh.
Or maybe something he enjoys?
He’s a fan and his son is a big fan. People from all walks of life enjoy wrestling, myself included.
I’m a huge fan. I loved that Jon turning heel was a twist I ddin’t see coming. My wife and I were screaming at the screen like, “No, Jon. NOOOOO!!!”
