Jon Stewart on Tuesday gave all news channels some flak after they attempted to cover the “Snowmageddon” in New York City, which turned out to be significantly less severe than an actual blizzard. But he gave CNN some extra attention.
Calling it the “worst iteration” of the news networks’ overreaction to the light snowstorm, the host of “The Daily Show” singled out anchor Don Lemon’s segment driving around Manhattan in his self-dubbed “Blizzardmobile.”
“Blizzardmobile?” Stewart gasped. “Settle down, Batman, it’s a Ford Explorer.”
“And by the way, the way you’ve been reporting lately, you’re lucky you’re not in an actual Blizzardmobile,” Stewart said, cutting to a photo of a DQ ‘Blizzard’ ice cream truck.
The host rolled footage of Lemon cruising the streets of Manhattan as the anchor warned, “the blizzard of 2015, it is battering the city of New York.”
“Really, battering?” Stewart said in disbelief. “Your windshield wipers are set to intermittent.”

Don Lemon seems to be living in an alternate reality.
I cannot take a second of don “the idiot” lemon
The media and ‘journalists’ deserves to be ridiculed. Journalism have gone to the dogs.
no wonder ted turner suffers from bouts of depression; watching his once indispensable news provider devolve into an embarrassing, degraded shell has to be tough.
It’s not just Don Lemon or CNN. I’ve seen this from the Philly broadcast stations too. It’s one thing if you can’t convey the complexities of a financial crisis or shifting alliances in the Middle East. It’s another if the entire TV news industry is stunned into panicked paralysis by the fact that it didn’t snow much after all and simply pretends, like a delusional schizophrenic, that it did. Remember when Detroit couldn’t seem to make a car worth buying? That’s where TV news is now. Thoughtful people are getting their news from comedy shows because you literally can’t get it from the news.
