McCain On Gov’t Shutdown: ‘I Don’t Want To Shut Down Grand Canyon Again’ (VIDEO)

Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) said on Monday he cannot support the group of legislators attempting to shut down the government because of what it means for Arizona commerce and the nation’s veterans.

“I’ll continue to argue for (a common Republican agenda) and try to be respectful of the views of others but I also share John Boehner’s view,” McCain said during an appearance on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” “I don’t want to shut down the Grand Canyon again. I don’t want to shut down the Veterans Administration. There’s enough problems there without that so I hope we can find a way through this.”

Because the worst thing that would happen if the government were to shut down is the handful of tourism jobs that would be affected in my home state.

  3. Then do a fundraising event during which you jump in, Crash.

  4. I used to wonder why news shows always interview the same bunch of politicians all the time then I realized it’s probably the only ones that will answer their calls…can someone break McCain’s phone and email server?
