New York City police officers were searching Thursday for two suspects at John F. Kennedy International Airport after tracking them from the Bronx where they fired shots from an Uber taxi, police sources told the New York Daily News.

The two men reportedly fired from the taxi’s window but, according to the Daily News’ sources, no one was injured by the shots.

The Uber cab was traced to JFK Airport’s terminal 4 parking lot after police contacted the car service company, the Daily News reported.

Police sources told the newspaper that someone was taken into custody, but it was likely he would be released.

The Daily News reported that police were still searching for the suspects.

It’s unclear whether the airport was shut down, but the airport’s inter-terminal train was closed temporarily. Service has reportedly resumed, according to television station WABC.

News of this incident at JFK comes just hours after a Delta plane skidded while attempting to land on a runway at the city’s LaGuardia Airport. No one was seriously injured in the accident and the plane hit a snowbank, which narrowly prevented it from landing in the East River.
