The Indianapolis Star reported Thursday that Donald Trump selected Indiana Gov. Mike Pence (R) to be his running mate and that he is dropping his re-election bid.
The IndyStar didn’t cite a source for that information, and Trump’s campaign spokeswoman Hope Hicks told the paper that “a decision has not been made.”
Trump is expected to formally announce his running mate on Friday at 11 a.m. ET.
Other top officials with the Trump campaign also tweeted that the businessman had not come to a decision yet:
Re: @realDonaldTrump VP selection, a decision will be made in the near future and the announcement will be tomorrow at 11am in New York.

The New York Times reported that the Trump camp was signaling that Pence would be his VP and Roll Call also reported that Trump had chosen Pence. Both reports relied on anonymous sources. New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich were both rumored to be considered by Trump to be his running mate.
