Following the deadly suicide attacks at the airport in Istanbul, Turkey, on Tuesday, Hillary Clinton said that the attacks shows the United States must continue to work with its allies to combat terrorism.

“Terrorists have struck again in the heart of one of our NATO allies—and all Americans stand united with the people of Turkey against this campaign of hatred and violence. Already, stories of heroism on the part of Turkish police are emerging, as their quick actions to confront the suspects may have prevented an even worse tragedy,” Clinton said in a statement.

“Today’s attack in Istanbul only strengthens our resolve to defeat the forces of terrorism and radical jihadism around the world. And it reminds us that the United States cannot retreat,” she continued. “We must deepen our cooperation with our allies and partners in the Middle East and Europe to take on this threat. Such cooperation is essential to protecting the homeland and keeping our country safe. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families, and the Turkish people.”

  2. We are not going to DEFEAT terrorism as long as there are suicide bombers and unlimited guns.

We can try to minimize the crazies, but the terror is not going to end.

    Time for realism.

  3. It’s an instructive exercise, in a deeply disturbing way, to read HRC and Drumpf’'s remarks one after the other - order is unimportant. As @emilianoelmexicano noted on the other thread: Low Information Voters are going to hear Drumpf loud and clear. From Hillary to them - it’s Charlie Brown’s teacher.

  4. I know that no matter how much he believes his own bullshit, that Trump can’t lock terror or terrorists out if they want in.
The internet alone radicalizes half the damned would-be terrorists in America.

Trump’s approach is to bomb’em back and that was the Bush thinking and look what that has done. We now are targets in the terrorist attacks and stuck in that world of paybacks.
Not to mention the quagmire in the desert that has accomplished exactly zero, positively anyways.

Hillary, will go the Obama route I’m sure and fight these terrorists with small but effective forces. No big wars and no fanfare, just get the job done.
