A conservative watchdog group this week filed a lawsuit against the State Department seeking information about Hillary Clinton’s use of a personal iPhone and iPad for conducting State Department business.

In a Thursday statement, Judicial Watch claimed that the State Department “failed to comply” with the group’s Freedom of Information Act requests for documents related to Clinton’s attempt to use her personal devices for government work.

Judicial Watch noted that, according to an Associated Press report, Clinton used her iPad to communicate with her State Department staff while she was secretary. The group said this contradicts Clinton’s “statements that she had used a secret email account so that she could conveniently conduct official business on one electronic device alone.”

“The Obama State Department would rather violate federal transparency law than give the American people simple facts about Hillary Clinton’s iPad and iPhone,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said in the statement.
