The Hillary Clinton campaign declared Monday there has been enough of Donald Trump.

The real estate mogul has been incredibly vocal about his anti-Mexican views since he announced his candidacy for President. The Clinton campaign on Monday tweeted “¡Basta!” in response. (This translates to “Enough!”)

  1. “¡Basta!”

I love it! On first glance it looks like she’s calling him a bastard. It’s fitting being that some people say Trump is the bastard child of an orangutan. That’s just what some people say.

  2. What I love is that she’s engaging Trump at all. In so doing, she helps to elevate his status in the campaign from side-show to main-event. And that’s not good for the GOP. Nice strategy.

  3. Yup. She’s apparently doing something that the Democratic Party as a political organization seems completely incapable of doing: making the Republican Party own its assholes.

    An embarrassment of riches.

  5. Yes, but more than that. The GOP faithful’s Pavlovian reaction to anything Clinton or Obama requires that they claim the polar opposite stance. So, by criticizing Trump, she is likely to increase his poll numbers, and draw out the GOP talking heads to double-down on Trump’s comments in his defense. This is political campaigning at it’s most sophisticated level.
