Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said Sunday that she didn’t know what to expect for when she is expected this week to testify about Benghazi, the diplomatic compound attacked while she was secretary of state.
Two House Republicans have said the House committee formed to investigate the attacks targeted Clinton. The chairman of the committee, Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC), had said those claims were “unfortunate.”
Clinton talked about the committee during an appearance on CNN’s “State of the Union.”
“I really don’t know what to expect,” Clinton said. “I think it’s pretty clear that whatever they might have thought they were doing they ended up becoming a partisan arm of the Republican National Committee with an overwhelming focus on trying to — as they admitted — drive down my poll numbers,” Clinton said. “I already testified about Benghazi. I testified to the best of my ability before the Senate and the House. I don’t know that I have very much to add.”
Get up there and crack jokes about this being a witch hunt. That should help.
Ask Cecile Richards for pointers.
Squeeze their little Republican noses so everybody can hear that tell-tale clown honk.
Somebody get her the list of embassies attacked under W. She can then ask about those investigations…crickets.
I´m sure the questions will be notable for the same judicious, impartial, logical, and thoughtful aspect that has characterized the Committee´s work heretofore.
