Fox News host Greg Gutfeld on Monday night belittled the conspiracy theorists who fear a Texas takeover by the U.S. military but joked he understood the concern “since we do have a Kenyan-born President.”
Gutfeld launched into a tirade against conspiracy theorists during a discussion on “The Five” about the theorists who believe an upcoming military training exercise called “Jade Helm 15” may be a covert operation to take over Texas. (The U.S. military has said the operation is a standard training exercise.)
“Every conspiracy theorist you know is gullible,” Gutfeld said. “They’re so insulting and cruel.”
“They’re the worst and they’re the most gullible and the dumbest people,” he continued. “I can’t stand them.”
Co-host Dana Perino, former White House press secretary to President George W. Bush, also weighed in on Jade Helm 15. She said when Bush was governor of Texas, he never would have responded the way current Gov. Greg Abbott (R) did. On April 28, Abbott responded to the conspiracy theorists by ordering the State Guard to monitor the military exercises.
“I actually think that they’re in a position of responsibility to give some tough love,” Perino said. “’This is not true’ — that actually should’ve come from them. … If you’re in a position of elected leadership just be honest.”
Gutfeld later followed up his rant with a birther joke about President Obama.
“I understand the skepticism after all since we do have a Kenyan-born President,” Gutfeld said.
“That’s true,” Fox News personality Julie Roginsky said. “I’ve been to Kenya and I saw his home site.”

I assume they were making a joke about Kenya, but with wingers, you never know.
That made no sense whatsoever…but then again, this IS FOX News the home of hypocrisy. After all, why are they not demanding that Ted Cruz not run for President given that he was born in Canada to a Cuban parent. He isn’t a real US citizen!
Kenya…Hawaii. Whatever.
Uh-huh. If Bush was still governor, and a Muslim-y sounding black soshulist President was a’fearin up all the good Texan RWNJ’s, Bush would not have thrown gas on that fire.
Yeah, I totally believe that.
