President Donald Trump’s lawyer told The Washington Post on Tuesday that if the President does intend to fire his attorney general, he will wait until after special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe into Russian meddling in the election is concluded.
“If there is any action taken, the president agrees with us that it shouldn’t be taken until after the investigation is concluded,” Giuliani told the Post.

Welp, obviously the memo went out, ixnay on the irings-fay until after the id-terms-may.
This is wishful thinking (a.k.a., “whistling in the wind”) on the part of Ghouliani and everyone else singing that tune right now. The only reason Spankee really wants Sessions gone is because of the Mueller investigation, which he believes Sessions should be actively and corruptly shielding him from. Once the investigation is over (assuming Spankee is still stinking up the Oval Office), it would only be for revenge.
On the other hand, Spankee lives for revenge, so, well…yeah.
Of course, we believe everything Rudy says because he is such a stable, truthful, and consistent source of inside information.
Can’t speak for anyone else, but it’s fine by me if he waits until after the investigation to shitcan Sessions. If Democrats don’t pick up at least one chamber of Congress firing Sessions won’t matter anyway because the Mueller investigation will be all for nothing anyway. If Democrats pick up the Senate then they block any replacement PP puts forward that has ever expressed any misgivings about the Russia investigation. Basically, this is all on voters.
I don’t think they’ll get the chance even if they win. I think if they somehow manage to win the Senate, Sessions is fired the next day and the lame duck republicans rubber stamp any replacement the day after that.
