Florida prosecutors on Monday morning released 34 pages of records detailing large transfers of money that were made to and from George Zimmerman‘s bank accounts about the time he was charged with murder in the killing of unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin.
These records are among the things that led prosecutors to charge Zimmerman’s wife with perjury for allegedly lying to the judge in her husband’s case. Florida authorities said Shellie Zimmerman lied on the witness stand about how much money was available to pay for her husband’s bond. The bank records show George Zimmerman had raised far more money for his defense than he or his family ever let on.
