The nation’s 41st president, George H.W. Bush, has joined Twitter, his spokesman announced on Tuesday.
In his first tweet, Bush expressed his regret in not being able to attend the memorial services for Nelson Mandela due to his health.
Barbara and I wish we could have joined the U.S. delegation honoring President Mandela today. He, and his countrymen, are in our prayers.
