French President Hollande Makes Surprise Trip To Afghanistan

Newly elected French President Francois Hollande has made an unannounced trip to Afghanistan, where he met with French soldiers and Afghan President Hamid Karzai. France’s first Socialist president in 30 years explained his decision to recall combat troops by the end of 2012, the UK’s Telegraph reports.
