John Stemberger, an anti-gay marriage activist who served as Florida GOP’s political director in the 1990s has endorsed Rick Santorum. As the campaign suggests, this is the latest in a line of social conservatives endorsing Santorum after a meeting of conservative evangelicals leaders in Texas over the weekend.
This is especially bad news for Rick Perry, as Stemberger had “previously endorsed Gov. Rick Perry (R-TX) and served as Perry’s state co-chairman during the Florida Presidency Five event in Orlando.”
