Toronto City Councillor Doug Ford, the brother of Toronto Mayor Rob Ford, accused the city’s police chief on Tuesday of attempting to “put a political bullet right between the mayor’s eyes.”

After Toronto police said last week that they have footage of the embattled mayor smoking crack cocaine, Doug Ford said that Police Chief Bill Blair should step down.

“This is the most political police chief this city’s ever seen. He went out believing he was the judge, jury and executioner, he’s created a bias towards the mayor, he’s also compromised himself and jeopardized the case,” Doug Ford said, according to City News Toronto.

During an interview on radio station AM 640, Doug Ford said Blair “wanted to go out and put a political bullet right between the mayor’s eyes.”
