Eric Trump turned up the creep factor Thursday morning during an appearance on Fox News, where he said that his sister Ivanka Trump should be his father’s running mate because she’s “got the beautiful looks!”
In an appearance on “Fox and Friends,” co-host Steve Doocy asked Trump how he felt about comments Senator Bob Corker (R-TN) made about his sister being the best choice for their father’s running mate.
“I agree, right? She’s got the beautiful looks. She’s got — she’s smart. She’s smart smart smart smart,” Trump said.
After remarking that she’d just barely turn 35 in time for the deadline to run, co-host Ainsley Earhardt brought up Ivanka’s business experience, and Trump said that his sister would certainly have his vote.
Their father has often faced mocking and criticism for his uncomfortable comments about Ivanka Trump’s looks, infamously saying that if Ivanka was not his daughter, “perhaps” he would be dating her.
Despite his…interesting praise, Eric Trump said there was no announcement to be made as far as Ivanka Trump being chosen as VP. But he did offer some insight into who his father might pick.
“He’s going to pick somebody…he’s going to pick somebody who is immensely competent, that’s not going to just win him a state,” Eric Trump said. “He wants somebody who is incredibly loyal and do a great job.”
