Even the Emmy Awards had to comment on celebrity tycoon Donald Trump’s run for the presidency. In his opening monologue, Emmys host Andy Samberg took on the Republican frontrunner as well as Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT).
“Donald Trump, of course, is running for President to the delight of uncles everywhere,” Samberg said. “But I’ve gotta say, sure, Donald Trump seems racist… What else?”
But it wasn’t only Republicans on the chopping block.
“Side note: Is it just me or does Bernie Sanders always look like his flight is delayed?” Samberg said. “That guy is a mess.”
Samberg reminded us that television host Paula Deen will be appear on “Dancing With The Stars,” but Samberg has other ideas.
“I gotta to say if I wanted to see an intolerant lady dance, I would have gone to one of Kim Davis’ four weddings,” he said. “It’s so ironic she came out of jail to ‘Eye of the Tiger’ when you consider how many dudes have boned each other to that song.”

yep… mention Donnie Dipstick… nothing like being on the cutting edge…
Did they really mention Trump? I was so bored I must have missed it. I think it’s time to fire the writers. Maybe into the sun. And get someone who has some talent on the show. When this schmuck said how he had gotten his start on SNL, I felt that explained everything.
For crying out loud, an awards show can be fun…look at the Tony’s or the BAFTA’s. Stephen Fry was hilarious hosting that.
TPM publishes every word he says and everything everyone else says about him.
