Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., questions a witness at Senate Banking Committee hearing on anti-money laundering on Capitol Hill in Washington, Thursday, March 7, 2013. Warren rose to national prominence as an outspoken consumer advocate decrying Wall Street abuses and became the progressive movement’s darling candidate in last fall’s Senate elections. A book proposal by Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) has been acquired by the publisher Henry Holt and Co., the Boston Globe reported Thursday.

The book, which is slated to be published in 2014, will detail Warren’s personal biography, the company told the Globe. It will also make a spirited defense of the middle class, perhaps the defining cause of her political rise.
