After casting doubt on the intelligence community, President Donald Trump will meet with CIA officials during his first full day as President of the United States.
Trump’s spokesman Sean Spicer tweeted out Saturday that Trump will lead the thank you event.
.@POTUS to visit @CIA this afternoon. Event is over capacity at 300+ Excited to thank the men and women of the intelligence community

The event comes as Trump has criticized the intelligence community throughout his transition. A few weeks ago, Trump compared the intel community to Nazis and Trump also attacked outgoing CIA Director John Brennan as he stepped down.
Trump has yet to get his nominee to lead the CIA Rep. Mike Pompeo (R-KS) confirmed. A tussle over confirmations kept Pompeo from being confirmed Friday. After debate. the Senate is expected to pick up his confirmation on Monday.
