Protesters holding up pocket-sized U.S. Constitutions in reference to Khzir Khan’s speech at the Democratic National Convention where loudly booed before being escorted out of a Donald Trump rally Thursday in Portland, Maine.

“Go ahead, do whatever you want,” Trump told the crowd during the disruption.

As the protesters were escorted out with Constitutions held high, a Trump supporter could be seen trying to rip a copy out of one woman’s hands.

After the event, Maria Testa, a member of the Maine People’s Alliance, said in a statement provided to TPM: “I and the other activists who stood up today, silently and peacefully and held up copies of the U.S. Constitution, aren’t just standing up for the family of Captain Humayun Khan. We’re standing up for the principles for which Captain Khan gave his life.”
