Donald Trump used his Wednesday foreign policy speech to tie former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to President Obama and the United States’ strategy in the Middle East, painting the two Democrats as interventionists.

“We’re a humanitarian nation, but the legacy of the Obama-Clinton interventions will be weakness, confusion, and disarray. A mess. We’ve made the Middle East more unstable and chaotic than ever before,” Trump said.

He blasted the Obama administration for not having a “coherent foreign policy,” lamenting the “lives lost” and “massive monies lost.”

After tying Clinton to Obama, Trump pivoted to slam Hillary Clinton over the attack on the American consulate in Benghazi, Libya, criticizing her response to the attack.

Trump said that this will change if he is elected president.

“We’re getting out of the nation-building business and instead focusing on creating stability in the world,” he said.
