A lawyer for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump told BuzzFeed News Wednesday that an interview a radio host said took place this week actually took place a year ago.

WYAY radio host Steve McCoy in Atlanta told BuzzFeed that he had to agree to the interview with a number of preconditions from Trump’s campaign.

McCoy told BuzzFeed News in a report published Tuesday that he had to agree not to ask about policy positions because “they weren’t set in stone” and to allow Trump to nix any questions.

“They said they wouldn’t take questions about his policy because his policies, they weren’t set in stone,” McCoy reportedly told BuzzFeed.

McCoy told the publication the interview took place this week.

But BuzzFeed updated its story to reflect comments from Trump’s lawyer, who said the interview was conducted a year ago. The lawyer added that McCoy admitted to him that it took place a year ago.

McCoy had not again responded to BuzzFeed’s request for comment.
