In an editorial Monday in the Santa Clara Valley News, Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) endorsed a hypothetical 2016 presidential bid by former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

“She is one of the most talented and impressive women I’ve ever known,” Feinstein wrote.

Feinstein praised Clinton’s performance in the Senate as having a focus on “the nuts and bolts of legislating that separates the show horses from the workhorses” and lauded Clinton’s work at the State Department as “oustanding.”

“I was an early and enthusiastic supporter during Hillary’s run for the White House in 2008. I believed she would be a spectacular leader and a transformative president for our country,” wrote Feinstein. “I still believe that. Now more than ever.”
