Romney defector Mike DeWine on Santorum: “People like him. He is human. He’s real.”
DeWine is notably switching his endorsement, from Mitt Romney to Rick Santorum — possibly giving an extra sting to the line about Santorum being “human.”
DeWine, like Santorum, previously served in the Senate from 1994 through 2006, when they were both defeated in the Democratic wave. DeWine then launched a comeback in 2010, and was elected state Attorney General in that year’s Republican wave.
