A drone was found early Monday morning on the White House grounds, according to multiple media reports., press secretary Josh Earnest confirmed.

White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest told reporters during a briefing on President Barack Obama’s trip to India that a “device” found on the grounds didn’t pose an immediate threat, according to NBC News. He didn’t elaborate on what the device was.

An anonymous federal law enforcement official told local TV station WRC that a drone landed in a tree on the White House grounds around 3 a.m.

Both the President and First Lady Michelle Obama were traveling Monday in New Delhi. It’s unclear whether the President’s daughters were home at the time.

  1. Did the “drone” have Faux News emblem on it’s side?

  2. Smooth move, genius. Get a drone for Christmas and then think you’re clever flying it onto the White House grounds. You’ll spend most of the next two years or so trying to stay out of jail. It’s the gift that keeps on giving!

  3. I’m so old, I remember back when people called “drones” operated by civilians “RC model airplanes.”

  4. Oh, that’s cold, man.
